Description: Brett Waters is an attorney and the co-founder of Reason for Hope and the Veteran Mental Health Leadership Coalition, non-profit policy and advocacy organizations focused on advancing safe, affordable access to psychedelic therapies to treat mental health conditions, addiction, and to prevent deaths of despair. Brett spent five years as a litigation associate at Winston & Strawn before leaving the firm at the end of 2022 to focus on policy and advocacy work full-time. Reason for Hope is named in memory of his mother, Sherrie Hope Waters, who he lost to suicide in 2018.
