Description: There is a new law which takes effect Jan 1, 2024. The primary purpose of the Act is to provide greater transparency of legal entities to detect and combat illegal activities. The new reporting requirements, however, will cause millions of existing legal entities to file new beneficial ownership disclosure forms with the federal government. The regulations are written so broadly, that nearly every small business in the US will be swept up in this new law.
