Description: Tasting Notes:Â William Grant hit a HOME RUN when they brought out the Balvenie DoubleWood, taking a practice that had been fairly common in scotch aging, the addition of sherry aged cask whiskies to ex-bourbon barrel casks and giving it a name and providing some insight into the process. The label was creative, and more importantly, the juice was excellent. Along with the barrels, they stuck a 12yr age statement on it and have never backed down.
