Description: We can’t control circumstances but we have choices when it comes to how we respond to them. Philippians 2 paints a picture of Christlike living that can and should characterize the believer regardless of the circumstance. Humility sets the stage for the right attitude and provides the foundation for sacrificial effort. We don’t respond this way in order to earn our salvation but in a worship-filled response to the grace we have received. When, individually and collectively, this kind of Christlike attitude permeates our lives, it helps others see and experience the real Jesus.
