Description: הַצֶּמַח צֶדֶק צִיוָּה אֶת כָּל הַמְלַמְּדִים שֶׁלָּמְדוּ עִם נְכָדָיו הַקְּטַנִּיםThe Tzemach Tzedek instructed all the tutors of his young grandchildren אֲשֶׁר, מִלְּבַד לִמּוּדִים הָרְגִילִיםthat in addition to the regular studies, יִלְּמְדוּ עִמָּהֶם פֵּרוּשׁ הַמִּלּוֹת (פֵּרוּשׁ הַפָּשׁוּט) שֶׁל סֵדֶר הַתְּפִלָּהthey should also teach the plain meaning of the words of the prayers. וּפַעַם בְּחֹדֶשׁ הָיוּ בָּאִים אֶל הַצֶּמַח צֶדֶק לְהִבָּחֵן בַּזֶּהOnce a month, the children would come to the Tzemach Tzedek to be tested.Text and Translation courtesy of Sichos in English
