I woke up at 8:00 today. It was a beautiful day. I had breakfast. Then I did some jogging.
Around nine o'clock, I ran for about 15 minutes near my house. I don't like running, but every year I run in January. It's a new year and I want to do something new. It's a chance to exercise.
But I am lazy. Every year jogging ends after about three days. Last year I ran five times in a year. The year before, I ran four times. The year before that I ran only three times. My goal this year is to run six times. I want to run more times than last year.
People like me are called three-day monks. A person who entered a temple to become a monk, but quits after three days. They are people who get bored easily. A lazy person is slightly different from a three-day monk; they don't like to move and love resting. There is also an animal called a namakemono -sloth.
On my jogging route, there are almond trees, which have beautiful flowers in March. If I can keep jogging until the flowers bloom, I will be the winner this year. I will do my best not to become a three-day monk.
