Description: At 25, Benny Schwartz was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease called NeuroMyelitis Optica, something only 4,000 to 8,000 people have in the United States. That caused Benny to lose his vision. Now at 35, he is legally blind, but he has turned to art as a way to deal with his blindness, mental health and emotional wellbeing. The Pittsburgh-based artists works under the name Benny Blindspots. He just had 50 pieces of his art included in a collection that is being displayed at Bank of America locations across the county.
