All the dudes are so horny for Billy in this. He is an actor who portrays women on stage (as women are outlawed from performing) back in the 1600's. Claire Danes also wants some of that Billy, but she's his assistant and he seems to mostly be into dudes. She also performs in underground, illegal plays and ends up getting the law removed by the king (Rupert Everett, who is hilarious and fantastic in this) and basically ruins things for ol Billy.
