Description: Amy Gaeta is a PhD candidate in English at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She takes a transdisciplinary approach by bringing together critical disability studies, feminist science and technology, and visual culture studies to understand the present and prospective roles of A.I., automation, and robots. Her dissertation, Drone Life: A Feminist Crip Analysis of the Human examines positive affects toward drones to theorize how drones are changing what it means to be human.
