Do you know that in Japan when women want to seek sterilization procedures, they will encounter conditions that are the most burdensome in the world? How so? First they must already have children and have to prove that pregnancy might endanger their health. Moreover they are required to obtain the consent of their spouses. Therefore surgeries like hysterectomies（子宮切除術）, tubal ligation（輸卵管結紮）are impossible for single, childless women to obtain. Currently five women are suing Japanese government for violating their constitutional rights to equality and self-determination, demanding laws like Maternal Protection Act be overturned.
