Higgins is from Louisville and stayed in his hometown to play at Bellarmine University, which jumped up to Division I while he was there. In his 2022 season, he was name the ASUN Player of the Year and a Second-Team All-American, and he ended up signing with the Giants that July. Higgins talked with Blaine about playing at Bellarmine, signing with the Giants, coming up to Double-A and more.Â
