Before she started college, she had to take one year of English classes to improve her proficiency. The turning point for her came during college when she was working as a server and overheard guests having conversations about real estate and business. When she graduated, she saved up and purchased a duplex that she used as student housing. She soon discovered that student housing wasn't the strategy for her.
