Description: Part5. (Matthew, The Gospel to the Jew) In the last episode we looked at John the Baptist, an awakening voice to Israel, declaring a baptism of repentance. We go on further to see Jesus coming to John for a baptism of preparation for the task set before him. Jesus is then led into the wilderness to be tested by Lucifer the “fallen”.
From Matthew chapter 4 and verse 12 we see the beginning of Jesus’ ministry to Israel declaring the extension of John’s message … “ repent for the kingdom of heaven has come near.”
