Description: Alexandra is a medical anthropologist, writer, and photographer based in Gothenburg, Sweden. A PhD candidate at Princeton University, her research focuses on the experimental development of neuroprosthetic technologies. Alexandra's research examines the ways scientists, doctors and amputee patients together develop and refine intimately integrated prosthetics coupled to nerves, muscles, and bones. Questions of embodiment, (inter)subjectivity, sensation, and relationality guide Alexandra's work.
