Beastie Boys were a hip-hop trio from New York City, New York. They formed in 1981 but disbanded in 2012 after the death of member Adam "MCA" Yauch. Their debut album "Licensed To Ill" was recorded at Chung King Studios in NYC, and it was released in November 1986 under Def Jam and Columbia Records.
