从前有一个魏国人，他要从魏国到楚国去。他很有钱，所以他买了最好的马车。他还请了一个驾马车驾得非常好的人。因此他的马车既好又快。楚国在魏国的南边，但是他们却往北走。路上有人问他：您要去哪里呢？魏国人说：“我要去楚国。” 路人说：“可是楚国在魏国的南面，你应该往南走。你不应该往北走呀！”魏国人说：“没关系。我的马车跑得很快。” 路人听后感到非常着急。他对魏国人说：“虽然你的马车跑得很快，但是你的方向错了，你还是没法到达楚国的呀！” 但是魏国人还是不明白，他对路人说：“我请了一个驾马车驾得非常好的人。他能带我们去楚国。” 路人说：“虽然他驾得非常好，但是方向错了，你们就越走越远了。你们还是没法到达楚国的。”魏国人听了有点不高兴了。他说：“我带了很多的钱。我们肯定能到达楚国的。” 路人说了这么久，魏国人还是不明白。路人只好摇了摇头走了。魏国人离楚国也越来越远了。
