Description: Vincent van Gogh was not as he seems. In 1888, at the age of 35, he was looking for something unique in art for the upcoming exhibition at the 1889 Worldβs Fair. He found that uniqueness in murder. He created the persona of Jack the Ripper over that summer and then reaped the power that came from murder when he traveled to London over the autumn to kill again and again as Jack the Ripper.
