Description: Problematic interactive media use (PIMU) is a real and growing health problem among children and adolescents of the digital age. In the digital age, we may have encountered a new pathology, or group of pathologies, to which we must develop a thoughtful, responsive, and structured systemic response. Children and adolescents are the sentinel cases of PIMU; they are early and enthusiastic adopters of new technologies and they have yet to develop self-regulating executive brain function.
