Description: Sugar has been the subject of controversy since as far back as over 2,000 years ago when Hindu physicians wrote about sugar that it “promotes nutrition and corpulency” (meaning fatness or obesity).
Today, everyone knows that eating too much sugar is a bad idea, yet the average American is consuming around 150 lbs of sugar a year. We find it almost impossible to “just say no” to our favorite sugary treat. Willpower just doesn’t work, it seems.
So the question on the table is… is sugar addictive? Should sugar be treated more like a drug than a nutrient...
