When we look at the OT we see that Hospitality has always been foundational when it comes to the character of God and the command he gives to his people. Israel is likened to a guest over and over again with God being the ultimate host. And don’t we see this in the creation account as well? God being the ultimate host that he is, literally creates a world for his most prized creation, humanity, to inhabit and enjoy. It’s who He is.
