Description: Orin Friesen has been a part of the broadcasting and music scenes in Kansas since 1964.  He began singing while riding his horse to check on the cattle and the fences on his family’s Nebraska farm. He is a member of the Kansas Music Hall of Fame, the Kansas Cowboy Hall of Fame, the Kansas Bluegrass Hall of Fame, and the Old Time Country Music Hall of Fame. He also received a Life-Time Achievement Award from the International Bluegrass Music Association.
