Description: This spring and summer, the workers of the SociĂ©tĂ© nationale des chemins de fer français (SNCF) staged a series of rolling strikes, slowing and shutting down the countryâs major lines of travel and transport. It wasnât the first time that Franceâs cheminots (railway workers) have taken a stand, and it certainly wonât be the last. Another major strike is scheduled for early October of this year.
