Description: On August 17, 1996 around 6 p.m. the 65-year-old father arrived at the Rosewood Boat Landing in Columbia, South Carolina. According to three witnesses, Jack was seen walking and talking to a man. It appeared as if the men knew each other. The witnesses said they heard the two men arguing. Moments later the unknown assailant had stabbed Jack multiple times in his abdomen. The mortally wounded military veteran would die at the nearby Palmetto Health Richland Hospital. The killer was described as being a Hispanic man in his mid-20s who was roughly 5 foot 5 and weighed between 150 to 180 pounds...
