She studied Hospitality Management at the University of Mississippi (on a full scholarship for volleyball), then studied pastry arts at the CIA and spent time in the kitchens of Daniel, Jean-Georges, Mast Brothers, and Dominique Ansel Bakery in New York. Keefe joined the team at McCrady’s in Charleston in 2015.
