Kristian met Passion Founder, Louie Giglio in 2002. In the fall of 2004, Louie asked Kristian to lead worship for 7:22, a weekly young adult gathering for the city of Atlanta. In 2005, he became actively involved with the Passion movement, first leading a community group at Passion 05, and then as a worship leader at Passion 06.
