Now the Depot area of Lawrenceville has been important since the late 1800s when trains first arrived to the area. Back in those days, it was cotton factories, corn, lumber, brick manufacturing, livestock, and it was fueling the economy of the area. But this new train moved in and freight now could be shipped all the way to the Eastern seaboard.
