Description: Over the weekend Gauteng Premier, Panyaza Lesufi said that the Gauteng government has decided to ban the sale of Terbufos, a pesticide which was found to have caused the recent deaths of six Soweto children. He goes on to say that only licensed businesses will be able to sell the pesticide also known as "halepherimi". Lesufi was speaking following a meeting with MECs, Mayors and MMCs on implementing By-Laws and regulations for spaza shop operations in the province.
