Description: The Good Shepherd - the True Shepherd, the gate, the door - and His people. They are called Sheep because they follow Him only and know that He is speaking truth from God our Father because the Holy Spirit has empowered them with truth and spiritual discernment. They can discern truth coming from Jesus from the falseness and lies (John 8:44) of this present age. The Spirit says to stay away from false prophets and false teachers (Galatians 1:6-9; 1 John 2: 18, 19, Deuteronomy 13:1-5; 18:20-22). Jesus claims to be the Son of God.
