Description: Becoming a Freemason was very important to Mozart. He was admitted as an apprentice on December 14, 1784. He was promoted to a journeyman Mason on January 7, 1785, and he became a master Mason shortly thereafter.
Many of the lodges had many composers as members and since young Mozart was widely considered the best composer of them all, he was freely admitted and welcomed in all the lodges throughout Europe.
