Description: What was accomplished at the cross?John Knox said, “remembering Jesus is to first remember the cross.” The cross is central to the gospel and central to the life of Jesus. The propitiation of Christ is twofold; firstly it is Jesus pleasing the wrath of God and secondly it is Jesus reckoning man to God. 1 Peter 2:24 says, “He personally carried our sins in his body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. By his wounds you are healed.”
