Interestingly, Arts and Culture Minister Gayton McKenzie appointed UCT PHD candidate Naledi Maponopono who has dedicated her academic life to studying African languages and literatures to the board of PanSALB. She will be adding to making sure that indigenous languages are prioritised and get the same attention as the others.
