We see a vineyard owner intentionally investing in his business — tilling the ground, planting seeds, digging a winepress, and building a watchtower. After renting the land to farmers, he sends his servants to collect the fruit, but they are met with hostility and greed for the farmers intended to reap the harvest for themselves.
