Description: Japan (MNN) — Typhoon Shanshan struck south-western Japan on Thursday last week, then lessened to a tropical storm over the weekend. Since then, it has lingered over Honshu island, dumping rain, disrupting public transportation and prolonging anxieties across the nation.
“We don’t have rice on on the shelf of any supermarket or stores. Everybody’s doing stockpiling, and we cannot buy rice,” says Takeshi Takazawa with A3.
