Kwanzaa is a week-long, cultural celebration that starts December 26th and ends January 1st. During Kwanzaa, people light candles on a kinara. There are three red candles, one black candle, and three green candles. Each day of the holiday, people discuss one of the empowering principles that promotes community and unity.
