Finally got a good windsurf in off Wello Point yesterday.
Wind was a consistent south-easterly at 14 to 16 knots, with clear skies and only 2 other sailors out. Sometimes it can get crowded on Morton Bay, believe it or not.
But yesterday I didn’t have to look over my shoulder this time to do my rapid turns, called jibes.
The reason it was a better day for windsurfing, was that the winds from the south-east, come mostly over the water, and this surface is much smoother, than the land...
