Today I made the most of a beautiful day and went out in my friend Sasha’s kayak around Yerrabin Island off Wellington Point. I rounded the island to find a small fishing boat starting to lay a long net in a circle, probably after mullet or bait fish. Just behind the boat was a line of pelicans.
