Description: We preview the two performances this weekend of Handel's MESSIAH at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside ... performances that are dedicated to the memory of Frances Bedford, longtime member of the UW-P music faculty who played harpsichord for every Parkside Messiah performance for more than two decades. Frances Bedford passed away in February 2023 at the age of 98. Monte Bedford, who will be playing oboe in the orchestra for these performances, offers reminiscences about his late mother. Also joining us is Dr. James Kinchen, director of choral activities at Parkside, who will be conducting this weekend's performances.
