Episode: How Gross National Happiness can lead to Gross National Inclusivity in Bhutan
Description: Bhutan is a country like no other. It is a highly Buddhist kingdom in birding India and China which only opened its borders in 1974 and introduced television and the internet in 1999. Since 1974 the country has operated under a system of Gross national Happiness which measures the overall well-being and quality of life of the citizens rather than overall economic output as signs of development. In this episode we look at how this system can contribute to a better quality of life for people with disabilities and how Gross National Happiness can lead to Gross National Inclusivity.
