For instance, I may think I know that Alaska exists, but if I've never been there, all I have is second-hand knowledge. But if I've been there, learned the culture of Alaska, experienced the cold weather, then that is first-hand knowledge. One is not better or superior to another, it's just knowledge. This is not about knowing more, but about reaching an intellectual humility about life.
