Ace Bailey was selected 5th overall by the Utah Jazz in the 2025 NBA Draft from Rutgers. Bailey declined workouts for several teams pre-draft, including Philadelphia, and reportedly said he wouldn’t report if drafted by some teams.
Recently, Bailey addressed doubts at his introductory press conference in Salt Lake City: said he felt “blessed to be here,” had no hesitation to report, and praised the city’s mountains and team environment.
