The prominent member of Canadaâs Russian-speaking Jewish community ran as a candidate for the international organization, dubbed the âParliament of the Jewish peopleâ, under the United for Israel slate. While the final Canadian numbers arenât yet public, voter turnout was much lower than Canadian Zionist Federation (CZF) organizers had hopedâapproximately 18,000 voters in a country of 400,000 Jews.
