The treatment of EGFR-mutated advanced non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) that has progressed on EGFR TKI therapy remains a clinical challenge, as traditional therapies have yielded only modest results. However, recent findings show that targeting HER3 can produce dramatically improved clinical outcomes. Data are rapidly emerging from late-phase trials evaluating HER3-directed antibody-drug conjugate therapies, and it is thus crucial for community-based oncologists and interprofessional care team members to be aware of these findings so they can be prepared to integrate these therapies into practice once they are available.
