It means someone who can be easily taught. David committed the great sins of adultery, murder, and false pretenses, but when the prophet Nathan pointed them out to him, he immediately repented. It was from the heart. The sin itself was a very big one, but God forgave him. People with soft hearts are the ones who are sensible and loved by God.
