The third such object that astronomers have discovered coming into our solar system from truly deep space is 3I/ATLAS. It was discovered as it streaked towards the inner solar system at 130,000 miles per hour by the ATLAS team’s 20 inch telescope in Chile and was quickly tracked by telescope around the world.
