Southern University announced yesterday that head football coach Terrence Graves had been fired following a disappointing 3-24 homecoming loss to Prairie View A&M. At the time of his dismissal, the team held a 1-6 overall record for the season. Athletic Director Roman Banks acknowledged that while Graves brought energy and had personal ties to the university, the team’s performance on the field was unacceptable.
