This article examines the evidence on generational work preferences, the structural challenges facing distributed teams, and the leadership failures that undermine hybrid work effectiveness. Drawing on organizational behavior research and contemporary practice, we identify proximity bias, inadequate manager training for distributed leadership, and executive-employee policy inconsistencies as key barriers to hybrid work success.
