I think that it is disrespectful, however, to call new candidates for office like Councilwoman Janeese Lewis George in DC "The Mamdani of DC" or Omar Fateh the "Mamdani of Minneapolis." It is disrespectful to the legacy of Reverend Jesse Jackson and others like former Chicago Mayor Harold Washington. History matters and we need to respect the architects. What do you think?
