Description: Growing up during the depression, Naomi’s earliest memories are of living during wartime and experiencing multiple moves. At 9, she moved from New Jersey, where she loved the outdoors and had freedom to roam, to New York. Always one to make the best of every situation, Naomi became a nurse after high school and found her way to a career in public health. Compassionate, caring and resourceful, she managed long days working both in schools and doing home visits. Later, with her husband and children she continued making a difference.
