Description: Warner Wolf began his broadcasting career in 1961 at WLSI-AM Radio in Pikeville, Ky. He served as disc jockey, news reporter, weatherman and sportscaster. Wolf also filled similar roles at WEPM-AM in Martinsburg, W. Va. and WQMR-AM in Silver Spring, Maryland. Between April 1965 and his arrival at ABC, Wolf covered all major sports events for WTOP-TV Washington, D.C., including play-by-play for the Washington Bullets, Washington Senators and Washington Redskins. Additionally, he called University of Maryland basketball and football games.
