As a kid, she loved nothing more than running around, deep into the woods, with her dog, Bandit, so she could explore and enjoy nature. One day, though, while she was outside, for recess, at school, in the 2nd grade, Alex saw something that changed her view on the woods and how safe it was to be in them.
